WHEREAS: The Wyoming Republican Party adheres to the ideal of marriage being between one man and one woman (See https://www.wyoming.gop/post/platform-of-the-wyoming-republican-party, #8).
WHEREAS: The Wyoming Republican Party has adopted and steadfastly supports the Wyoming Republican Party Platform.
WHEREAS: Senator Lummis voted to pass the Respect for Marriage Act (H.R. 8404, 117th United States Congress).
WHEREAS: The affirmative vote for the Respect for Marriage Act by Senator Lummis is in direct contradiction to the Wyoming Republican Party Platform which is properly approved by the Republican Party which Senator Lummis claims to represent.
BE IT RESOLVED: That the Wyoming Republican Party condemns Senator Lummis for ignoring the tenets of the Republican Party Platform and what the Wyoming State Statutes define as marriage.
